Your Privacy Matters

Flowna is designed with privacy at its core. Your health data stays on your device. We do not require accounts, we do not upload your personal health information, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.

What Data Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your iPhone and never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it:

• Cycle data: Period start/end dates, cycle lengths, period lengths
• Logged events: Symptoms, mood, energy levels, flow intensity, medications, activities, and notes
• Preferences: Theme settings, notification preferences, cycle configuration
• Profile information: Optional name, age, and profile photo (stored locally only)

This data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device.

Apple Health Integration (Optional)

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration, Flowna will:

• Read: Menstrual flow data and basal body temperature from Apple Health
• Write: Period start/end dates to Apple Health

Apple Health data is handled according to Apple's HealthKit guidelines. We do not use or disclose data gathered from HealthKit for advertising, data mining, or any purpose other than improving your health management experience within Flowna.

Health data accessed through HealthKit is never stored in iCloud or transmitted to any external server.

Apple Watch Companion

If you use the Flowna Apple Watch app, cycle data is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication happens directly between your paired devices and does not pass through any external server.

Optional Anonymous Analytics

During onboarding, you may choose to enable:

• Basic Analytics: Anonymous app usage data including screen views, feature usage, and crash reports. This helps us fix bugs and improve the app. No health data is included.
• Usage Insights: Anonymous, aggregated statistics such as cycle length ranges and symptom type counts. This helps us understand which features are most useful. No personally identifiable information is included.

Both options are off by default and can be changed at any time in Settings > Privacy & Analytics.

What We Never Collect

• Your name, email address, or any account information (no accounts exist)
• Your health or cycle data (it never leaves your device)
• Your location
• Your contacts
• Device identifiers for advertising purposes
• Any data from other apps on your device

Notifications

Flowna can send you local notifications for period predictions, fertile window reminders, and daily log reminders. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Notification content is never sent to or processed by any server.

If you enable push notifications, a device token is registered with our server solely for the purpose of delivering system-level notifications. Health data is never included in push notifications.

Data Export and Deletion

• Export: You can export all your data at any time as JSON or CSV files via Settings > Export Data
• Backup: You can create encrypted backups stored locally on your device
• Delete: You can permanently delete all data via Settings > Reset All Data. This action is irreversible and removes all locally stored information.

Since we do not store your data on any server, there is no server-side data to delete.

Third-Party Services

Flowna does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or social media SDKs. The only external communication is:

• Optional anonymous telemetry (if you opt in)
• Push notification token registration (if you enable notifications)
• Feedback submissions (if you choose to send feedback)

Children's Privacy

Flowna is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app's age rating on the App Store reflects its health and wellness content.

Data Security

Your data is protected by:

• On-device encrypted storage
• Optional biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)
• No server-side storage of personal or health data
• HTTPS encryption for any optional network communication

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
